1. Download the Khaldea Calendar standalone file for your time zone
The standalone editions of the digital Khaldea Calendar consist of zip files delivered to you over the Internet. To download a copy, simply select the link above for your time zone. Download and save it to a folder or location on your computer, tablet or device.
2. Unzip the .zip file for your time zone
Before you can use the Calendar files, you'll need to unzip the downloaded file, which should have a name similar to: "kc2013***.zip", where "***" refers to your time zone acronym. If you are using a PC or MAC desktop or laptop, your machine probably has a unzip utility. Unzip the file now, go to step 3 below and follow the instructions for PC and MAC users.
If you wish to use the standalone edition on a Kindle, Android, tablet, or other device, there are two easy ways to load the Calender. If you have installed a zip app on your device, such as the free EasyUnrar app, simply email the zip file as an attachment, then open the email, download and save the zip file to your device — Kindle will automatically save the file to the "Documents" folder. Then simply go to the folder and unzip the file in the usual manner.
If you don't have a zip app installed on your Kindle or other device, download the Calendar zip file to a PC, MAC or Linux computer, unzip it and sideload the unzipped files to the device according to the easy instructions to the right for Kindle and Android installations.
3. Using the Standalone Calendar
PC, Windows, MAC and Linux Users.
After unzipping the downloaded file and saving the contents in a folder or location on your computer you can easily find, next go to the file directory where the unzipped files are located — probably in the "downloads" folder. You will notice two entries: a file named "kcal2013***.html" (where "***" refers to your time zone) and a folder similarly named, for instance: "kc2013***." It is important that you do not rename the file or the folder, or rename any of the files contained in the kc2013*** folder. If you wish to move the files to another directory or device, it is important to keep all filenames and the hierarchical relationship between the .html file and the timezone folder.
3. Open the main file
You are now ready to start using the standalone Khaldea Calendar. You can simply click on the kcal2013***.html file name or create a desktop shortcut for easy repeated use. Click on the filename or the desktop shortcut to bring up the Calendar's main page (left) in your web browser. From the main page you can select a desired month or view the annual lunation listing.
